i’m on episode 6 now. i really love this show. hotaru is so sweet and i love her reactions to all the silly situation that gone in her life. oh? you have no clue what i’m talking about? well that’s okay ^v^. i’m talking about my favorite show so far. it’s called hotaru no hikari. do re mi fansubs does english subs for it.

           it’s basically a story about a 27-year old woman name hotaru amemiya. she works in the design department of a company which hosts events and publisizes other businesses and companies. she is a mature woman at work, but at home she becomes a himona onna(dried up fish woman) with her hair up in a sumo knot, dressed in sweats and a t-shirt. she likes being lazy and sleeping on the weekends instead of going out. but when her boss, takano moves home after being kicked out by his wife, he finds hotaru there, who is renting the house from his father for free. so they decide to keep it a secret from their colleagues, that they’re living together. she also has a crush on her younger colleague teshima makoto, which makes things a bit more complicated. so as they both struggle with their relationships, takano and hotaru give eachother advice and try to live together.

the outcome is very comedic. i love how the situations get more outrageous each episode. the soundtrack is sooooo awesome. everyone has a theme song. i like that hotaru is like a real person, if a bit funnier and immature than most. i like that about shows who have a strong, yet real heroine. besides takano who serves as a sort of teacher to hotaru, everyone has a very 2 dimensional personality. i wish they would have more opinions rather thatn go with the flow. rock the boat people, come on!!! sorry i’m just a little upset, is all..
